One staffer attended pre-planning for days while symptomatic. She later texted colleagues to say she'd tested positive for COVID-19. "That was exactly one week ago, so we are all waiting to see who gets sick next week,” a North Paulding teacher said.https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/mollyhensleyclancy/georgia-school-reopening-photo-paulding-county …

They weren't forced to attend without masks though. (At least not be the school, maybe they have MAGAt parents that forced them not to?)

Unfortunately wearing a mask isn't much protection for you from the others. If they all wore masks it would help, but this situation just looks hopeless. Afraid they may have to convert their football field to a cemetery by the end of the year.

Thanks for reporting. What a terribly haphazard (and dangerous) reopening.

My Florida high school hallway picture, 3 without masks. Kids will be kids, we know they will be allright but kill grandma and other neighbors. Mostly MAGAs running schools doing this, but also Dems and NY times, see my pinned tweetpic.twitter.com/e0Lro7mBpF

My son goes there and had a choice to go virtual. He did. I think if they are in band or other such activities, they have to go in person. Don't know how you'd do marching band from home
-
...so the plan is have all the brass players exhale as hard as they can in a room together? Has no one seen the spit buildup in a trumpet before?
