    Also, if you happen to notice I've panned someone's book, do not then tag that author for me. If I had wanted to do that, I'd have done it and I never want to do that.

    Psa: if you’re venting about an author’s books (which is a perfectly fine thing to do), don’t tag them. Just… vent. Also, don’t corner an author in DMs or chat to vent about their book at them. That’s just rude. Vent, yes, but not to the author!

    Mutual aid doesn’t have to be mass organized, well funded efforts to give back and distribute. Sometimes it’s bringing aid to one person who has no one who really needs it. Sometimes it’s food or medicine you grow, some art and whatever you can give. Mutual aid is radical love.

    First assignment in my taxonomy class is to get them thinking about how to classify things into groups based upon morphology; I assign a list of pasta to classify into ‘genera’ as if they were micro-organisms, based upon characters they define. Sometimes they get a bit extra. 🧡
