Same here - it's one of the many reasons why I love my current job and team, absolutely wonderful people and never has it been a moment where I couldn't take care of something personal because of work!

I know a few people that do not work in a positive, empathetic culture like this and it stresses them out. Very unhealthy and I feel for them.

I used to be like that, cautious and uncomfortable around kind, caring people. I was more comfortable with cold, cruel people. I had to first realize I had been conditioned to believe I didn't need or deserve compassion, and then decide for myself that I actually did.

That’s great! I can say my team would act like that however our managers sadly wouldn’t. Another reason why I’m moving to a better company that isn’t toxic.

Same here. I’m fighting cancer for the 2nd time and the team is always nice to me. I was eligible for a license until the treatment ends, but to help my state of mind, I asked them if I could work anyway. Even when I have to spend days at the hospital, they’re backing me.
