Life has always sucked for the vast majority of people, except for that relatively recent aberrant Goldilocks zone of prosperity that was only made possible by a confluence of indogenous variables. We’re simply returning to history, welcome back. :)
I agree with this completely. The last 150 years or so were a unique and wonderful aberration.

The Boomers really got to experience the West at its peak imo, I very much envy them. My only morbid solace is that, in some Grecian twist of fate, the very policies that precipitated our decline will end up causing a financial reckoning that’ll destroy their retirement savings.
