I feel I very much need to write a thread about the Chinese-American documentary “American Factory”. However, the more I read, the more I realise the bigger story is the Obamas’ funding & production of this film. More to come once I’ve digested.
If you wish to read a thread in the meantime about the documentary itself, keep an eye on @thespandrell’s account which I’m sure will have a 180-degree opinion than mine on whether the Chinese or the Americans were the bad guys.
I honestly felt bad for the Chinese owners at the end.
