When you say, "would have been on the left 20 years ago", are you allowing for people who got older and wiser? Or allowing for the fact that the left 20 years ago was filled with sane people who just didn't foresee what they were unleashing?
Neither. I’m saying that many who fight against and question leftist authority in 2019 would have been the ones probably campaigning for civil rights in the 60s just cos some are naturally always contrarian. They’ll always naturally trend to the rebel position. I know I do.
Ahh. But that's a noble trait. There was a study of repeated games where ppl were given the option of punishing freeloaders, but when they ran it with Eastern Europeans, they found that the slavs punished those who punished the free loaders. That warms my heart.
