Didn’t work for the Philippines though. They assimilated a bunch of Chinese who became just as lazy and slow as the native stock. They’re market-dominant domestically, but can’t compete anywhere else.

Also, the Chinese in Philippines assimilated too much. Most of them cant speak any Chinese dialect and only communicate in island babble. Have you ever looked at Filipino dialects? It’s pretty much baby talk.
You can more or less assess a country’s IQ by how much their language sounds like baba na na gugu na lang.
