  9. While we are grateful to have retrieved 1/3 of our collection, we are aware this represents a fraction of the entire 85,000-item archive. Our thoughts are very much focused on the two-thirds of the collection that is still sitting at 70 Mulberry Street whose condition is unknown.

This fire was heartbreaking. I walked past the building yesterday. I was shocked to see the entire top 2 floors destroyed. I'm hoping for the best that most of the collection can be saved.
