    Agree. But those models are seductive & wide-scale protection usually doesn't rely on understanding attacker mind

    Using the Kill Chain (or others) to scare execs is the "not actually useful thing"...not the adversarial models.

    Agreed for IR model. When talking to execs, very James Bond / well liked... But not good structure for strategy.

    Really? For incident response, the kill chain model can be quite helpful.

    Unfortunately, data shows that 3 character password equally effective.

    Data says an 8 character password is most likely to be brute forced. Statistically less likely someone guesses "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa"
