Hearing that gas prices will rise because of the Russia/Ukraine crisis? IMHO, the best way to support Ukraine is to accept the higher prices. Make sure that it continues to be an easy political decision to leave the sanctions in place as long as possible.

I kinda think the problem is that for legitimate reasons, people see package managers as too much overhead for their projects. Maybe Nix offers less?

I'm pretty interested in package management, and Nix is exciting if for no other reason than it is a new take. But I just can't convince myself it actually solves a problem that people dedicated to using rpm or apt to package their applications have.

Boy, I'm all self conscious about my technical communication skills, and spend a lot of time thinking about how to improve there. But today I saw an example of someone else that made me realize, "remembering that you need to communicate at all is the first step."

Admittedly, this sample is a better highlight of the fact that major versions are separate Go modules, and you can use both in the same program. The actual type safety offered by generics is sorta buried in this sample.
