Surely an "innocent" (Trump) man would want to sit with Mueller and vindicate his name...pic.twitter.com/fFNkjFTs51

Shouldn’t be very protracted; that issue has already been decided.

U.S. v. Nixon (1974) — POTUS not above process; can be subpoenaed by federal government.
-
Court rejected POTUS claim of absolute executive privilege. Held POTUS can be subpoenaed if part of criminal proceeding.
-
In footnote 2, the Court noted that it was not deciding issue of whether sitting POTUS can be indicted, thus leaving that issue to be decided another day.

It wouldn't be a very long fight. This has long since been established. Criminal investigations serve a higher public interest than that of the needs of executive to maintain secrecy. See also US v Nixon

Trump has said we should use more water boarding to make people talk, just saying.

Since the President has continually stated "no collusion", and he did nothing wrong, he shouldn't have any problem answering Mr. Mueller's questions. Correct?

Why? Ken Starr subpoenaed Bill Clinton. There was no portracted court fight.

If they were performing an investigation of a specific crime, maybe they could, but Mueller is investigating to see IF there are any crimes. Since there is no criminal investigation, there is no "obstruction of justice", no reason to be compelled to say anything.
-
Yes, they can compel him. Then, he can always plead the 5th.
-
Compel him to do what? Show me the criminal complaint.
-
If there is no complaint, then there is no "justice" being done.
