DHS Secretary Nielsen still scarce on details this AM about the number of troops that will be sent to border and whether they will be armed or unarmed. “I’d like to hear from the governors what it is that they want,” she told reporters

Given Trump's recent tweet, they'll walk it back. Nielsen will dump it on the governors and the WH will hope everyone forgets. Huckabee Sanders will lie about the sketchy plans and we'll move on to Trump's newest tantrums.

They're dumping on the governors knowing they'll deny the request and then he can claim it's the governor's fault.

I would like political analysts to stop pondering why Trump is sending troops to the border. There is no strategy. State TV told him there were armies of brown people crossing the border. He's racist. He's unhinged. People will die. There will be blood on his racist hands.

Prediction: they are never sent. They only cared about the headline that they would be, thereby making Trump supporters believe something was done. They will never see a correction.

Why didn't they ask the governors before making the proclamation? Oregon governor has already said she will decline the request.

They could’ve also asked the border patrol if they needed help. It’s a sham like everything else Trump does.
