And Trump can suspend the Constitution, dissolve Congress, ignore the Supreme Court, and declare himself president for life. Problem solved.

LOL no there are not. It’s a constitutional amendment. That’s it.
-
Then they can do the same for the second amendment.
-
Except the Supreme Court has already ruled multiple times in favor of gun restrictions being constitutional. 2nd amendment says you can own guns it does not say it has to be unregulated. In fact regulated appears in the amendment. But you do you.
-
I am aware. Thank you. But Trumpers seem to miss the facts.

I apologize, I apparently misread your post.
-
I thought you were addressing Mnuchin, whose expensive plutocrat education clearly didn't include a decent civics class.
-
I was in general. However, I misread the person’s post at @ my comment to as being in support of Mnuchin.

Every president wants a line item veto. Congress won't approve it because it's how they add their pork barrel projects to bills that need to pass (like a new bridge on a defense bill) just to satisfy their voters.
-
Congress makes the laws. This would be the President making laws
-
Well, what it really is that the president can pick and choose which parts of a bill he wants to veto. He can't add anything to the bill. Many governors have line item veto capability.
-
Read very carefully President Clinton attempted this Republicans took it all the way to the Supreme Court Republicans won their case it is unconstitutional to do That’s it point blank period
-
Clinton did not "attempt this" on his own. First, there was the Line Item Veto Act of 1996. In other words, Clinton attempted to implement a law duely enacted by Congress and subsequently ruled unconstitutional by SCOTUS. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Line_Item_Veto_Act_of_1996 …
-
Gotcha still At the end of the day the same Republicans that fought to make it unconstitutional are arguing on its validity now
