Paul Ryan in 2015 as he was becoming speaker on a big budget deal: “I think the process stinks...This is not the way to do the people's business. And under new management we are not going to do the people's business this way. We are up against a deadline — that's unfortunate.”

Why were reporters and pundits treating Paul Ryan like a very serious person - ever?

So Manu, did I read this correctly Speaker of the House has no control of the house where he actually has a majority of his own party? Congress is a scattered as White House. Good Grief!

Maybe they should work more than barely 3 days a week. Ryan's House has been the most Do Nothing ever, EVERY session he's been leader. He's proven he can't manage his caucus, esp the TPers, and the Rs have repeatedly proven they can't govern or legislate. Hardly a success story

If only
@SpeakerRyan had some power to change the way the Congress does business. -
This guy and power? This pic looks like it should be in a school cafeteria with the caption “don’t be like this guy kids drink milk and grow up to be strong”pic.twitter.com/D6KzTqyo7S
