Cornyn criticizes messy process to fund govt. "This shows why this is really a terrible way to have to do business, to deal with a $1.3 trillion spending bill ... where final decisions are left to four people is not the way the founders intended the legislative branch to work.”

Few people have done more to weaken the legislative process then John Cornyn. Sounds like someone got religion a little late in the service.

The founders also intended the legislative branch to be a check on the executive, so... maybe Cornyn should think about that...

The founders also mightnot intended to give money rich people by taking away from poor. But that's the reality they set in.

Eh. It's worth remembering most of the founders were rich men themselves who thought only white male property owners should vote and that many owned slaves and thought slaves should only count as a fraction of human beings.

He was ok with the process when it kicked the leg out from ACA..or gave corporations a massive slush fund with the tax cuts or fine with the process that allows Mitch McConnell or Paul Ryan to decide what bills can be brought to the floor..

Republicans were fine with all this mess when Obama was President. They even shutdown the Government. They turn raising the "debt Ceiling" in to a ritual. Bitching about the Debt and the Deficit. Haven't said a damn word since Trump was elected and they R in control of Congress
