What logical reason could they give for not protecting the special counsel?
-
-
-
The only logical explanation for this is that they know that once Trump fires Mueller, the gig is up, for good.
@GOP will have to relinquish power and they'll never get it back. - 1 more reply

Why? How is protecting Mueller a bad thing in any way?
-
I'd like to hear the answer to that question. Why ISN'T it a good idea to protect him?

So follow up question Mr.
@OrrinHatch would not protecting the firing of Mueller be the second stupidest thing? Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Orrin Hatch’s best days are LONG gone. It is disappointing that he does not believe in oversight or that the legislative branch is co-equal.
-
Even if he does not believe in a legislative fix, he CERTAINLY should understand the value in making a CREDIBLE threat if Mueller is fired.

Reminds me of my
@RepDavid, who claims that Trump has a "moral obligation" to release his tax returns, but repeatedly voted AGAINST requiring him to do so.

It's way past time for Hatch to retire. His late friend Ted Kennedy would be ashamed of him. We sure are. What does Russia have on all these Republicans that they're willing to throw America under the bus?
-
Perhaps it all ties in with CA, et al....getting info that then may have been "shared" with others from not-so-friendly nations. All this news regarding Cambridge Analytica is quite eye-opening....

It will only be the stupidest thing until he does something more stupid. So instead of protecting the rule of law,
@OrrinHatch agrees it is being attacked but does not accept his responsible oversight role.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Why would Hatch not support a bill to protect Mueller? Is he not an American first? Somebody (like republicans in congress) need to push back against Trump. He is attacking Mueller while you look on...

In other words
@senorrinhatch, who called Trump "one heckuva leader" as he genuflected and groveled, is part of the coverup. A toady. Vichy puppet. Feckless coward.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

The fact he won’t protect Mueller with action tells me his words of retribution are absolutely meaningless.

I don’t think Trump has a ceiling for “stupidest.”
