As an independent who plans to vote a straight Dem ticket to get GOP out in upcoming elections, Dems need to beware that they don’t dilute the strength of the party. Don’t primary seated successful democrats. Be smart please.

No officeholder has a right to the seat. I've been voting for Dianne since 1990. She's great, and too centrist for the state's electorate. I'll probs end up supporting her again, but I support the challenge to her.
-
Keep thinking that shit. That's how we got Trump! I personally am sick of that aegist, selfish view. I'm not infringing on your choice. We must fall in line, not in love or

As I stated I've been voting for her since 1990 when she ran for governor. Since 1992 when she got elected to the Senate I've been pretty happy with her record. This year for the first time I've felt it necessary to contact her office a few times. The challenge is good.

Despite the disrespect shown to Sen Feinstein, reasonable voters will still back her. She has the clout and experience to continue and has been a leader in banning assault weapons, among other things. We need to support her not have any more in-fighting. I support her.
-
She’s horrible and she needs to retire to her mansion and count all the money she’s made over the years on the backs of taxpayers.
#Dementia is setting in. -
Did you learn nothing last election?
-
Yes, that Republicans cheat with Russian assistance.

Even if you come from the position that she should step away...this is not a good optic for the party, and is just plain disrespectful.
-
I so agree. I actually thought it was a good time for her to retire, but these comments angered and frustrated me.

This is an insignificant event. Feinstein will win by a big margin. If De Leon makes it into the number 2 slot at the primary, it probably means a big latino turnout statewide which would be trouble for a lot of GOP House members.

This may not be a bad thing. There comes a time when old thoughts and ways of doing things must end and new ideas through new leaders must be allowed to lead the way. That's in no way to disrespect Feinstein its just the reality of where America is right now.
-
Puking childish insults at people who have gotten shit done for 40+ years doesn't exactly scream "leadership" to me.
-
I am not defending any behaviours as I was not there and that's not my point. I am talking about the fact that it may not be a problem for new leadership to come through the Democratic party.
-
Oh that wasn't directed at you, sorry about that. It was a general observation about the new Left and their behavior which I've been experiencing first hand for about two years now.
-
No problem. I can agree with you on that.
