Jack Reed asking the intel chiefs whether Trump has personally directed them to take steps to stop Russia meddling in the 2018 midterms. They’re giving nuanced answers. “Not specifically directed by the president,” Wray said.

Mike Pompeo...just stated twice, using the words "the President has been very clear"....it's starting to sound like a WH briefing not an INTEL Hearing.

But he kept answering in a round about way. Just “yes trumpf directed you to focus on Russian election interference or no he didn’t”. Also the response to Drumpf’s failure to action on the Russian sanctions 🙄

@maggieNYT ... actually Pompeio said that “significant effort in CIA and entire IC to push back against the Russian threat that he would discuss in further detail during private session.” Obviously harder to do fake news when its a televised hearing but Manu gives it an effort.

Okay. Has the president* peronally or specifically directed them to, say, bang suspects' heads against the sides of cars? Those two answers combined might give us a sense of whether he understands the law. Me, I'm not optimistic. I don't think he understands toaster pastries.

Why is there a question as to whether, or not, we will combat all attempts to deter Russian attacks on our elections? Our leaders aren't interested in stopping Russia. It appears that they are colluding with Russia!

Trump has already answered this himself! Undermined Obama sanctions before even in office. Changed GOP platform language on Ukraine. Refuse to implement sanctions on Russia Refuse to admit Russian interference Non stop Putin butt kissing. The obvious answer is No he didn't.
