Behind closed doors today, Merkley was NOT happy w deal Dems agreed to, I'm told, saying GOP got way too much and extracted too little; Feinstein also raised concerns about why she voted against bill to keep govt open Friday. Why couldn't they resolve this Friday, she asked?

He wanted a promise from McConnell. He thinks he got one. He didn’t.

Democrats are the party of paralysis. They don't even know what they stand for. At least Republicans, however, deluded, have conviction.

The same deal was on the table Friday night on the Senate floor. It was under discussion. Rank-and-file Dems were open to it. Schumer said no.

Because they're going to get screwed unless they received news that something is coming down the pike which will make negotiating far easier. This is my hope. Nefarious news. I'm not happy the GOP can't be trusted by any means.

Exactly Feinstein! This is ALL a bunch horse manure! What’s the difference between the Senate proposal and the one that came over from the House on Friday?! Neither includes a definitive on DACA!

GOP don’t either! Both parties are playing games with people’s lives. REP and DEMs voted 🗳 to shut down the Gov.; 2 REPs voted to keep it shut. So there’s blame on both sides.
