Also another senior WH aide meeting with House Intel tomorrow: Rick Dearborn, the outgoing deputy chief of staff. He and Lewandowski both on tap before Hicks later in week. w/@jeremyherb

Bannon shed little light on Trump Tower meeting, given he joined the campaign after it occurred, and he would not discuss the WH role in crafting a misleading statement after Trump Tower meeting was revealed last summer

If they don’t rule him in contempt, then there’s no point in using subpoena to compel testimony. And no point to this charade of a probe. As if traitorous corrupt Trump sycophant
@DevinNunes would REALLY use subpoena power? No. -
They still have to exhaust these avenues, friend. It’s a tiring game, but dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s is what’s going to win this. And by doing so, it continues to force Nunes’ hand to commit further obstructions giving Mueller’s probe more evidence.
-
I agree, only to an extent though... sometimes we have to hit deadlines with just 90% of what we truly want. Every day of dotting/crossing is another day non-criminal Mexican families are broken up & criminal dictators are laundering billions through Trump.

@HouseGOP@HouseDemocrats Hold Bannon in contempt and add another count of Obstruction of Justice to the Articles of Impeachment. It is time to do the right thing! - 1 more reply

Doesn't the executive have to be the one to assert privelege, and Trump wasnt the executive until the inauguration. How can Bannon assert privelege at all either.

The subpoena is a ploy by trump and his lawyers to find out what Bannon will say to Mueller. That's why Nunes was so quick to deliver the subpoena. He's trump's stooge.

Question: What's the difference between a Mueller grand jury subpoena and a congressional investigative committee subpoena? Answer: Republican chairmen of these investigative committees consider subpoenas flexible.
-
Grand jury doesn't allow Bannon's lawyer to be present. Bannon is sharing same lawyer as other Trump inner circle.Hence, keeps testimony isolated. Brilliant move by Mueller
-
1) I reckon Mueller is boxing Bannon in a perjury trap and 2) doubt he's worried about Bannon relaying details of his testimony

Ok. I see special treatment here. Why aren’t the republicans treating Kushner and Don Jr the way they are treating Bannon? I bet they wouldn’t care that he isn’t Forth coming if he was still close to Trump.
-
They answered all the questions. Brannon claimed Exec Privilege for a guy that wasn’t President yet. Brannon is on his own here.
-
No. Don Jr refused to answer questions about the conversation he and his dad had siting Client/Lawyer privilege. Dems tried to call him back but Grassley is stonewalling.
