Now, perhaps the @NCAA can conceive a real college football playoff with 16 teams

Get rid of some of the meaningless non-conference games (and meaningless bowl games) and give good teams an equal shot to win championship. Current system is undemocratic. More teams would be even more exciting

How about "WAY TO GO ALABAMA"? It would be more appropriate.

no. If you pay those kids, then maybe it's a good idea. Otherwise it's free labor for our enjoyment

Where seniors get unpaid and get to ruin their draft chances with an potentially injury 16 times...haaaaaaaa

Actually the @NCAA is not really involved in the playoff. Some of its conferences and member institutions have their own construct and control the process and revenue themselves.

At least 8. Not sure Central Florida would have beaten either finalist but they deserved a crack at it.

I’ve always been in favor of expanding it to 8. I think 16 is a bit too much.

The thought is legit, but the fact that these kids are not paid and are risking possible injury or significant backlash if they sit out the games, it's not worth it...The insignificant bowls are still something for the kids to enjoy and have a mini-vacation... BTW, the NCAA sucks
