The obvious response would be “On what basis then did Corker change his vote?” I’m not hanging the guy without a jury but the lack of a articulable reason troubles me. From someone who has showed considerable integrity in recent weeks, this is especially disappointing.

Exactly. The deficit impact was his concern and that hasn't changed.

So, why does this pass through deduction apply to real estate investors and insurance brokers but not doctors, lawyers and accountants? Can anyone explain?
-
It's OBVIOUSLY all about "simplifying" the tax code ... oh, and only benefits the middle class ... creates jobs ... creating growth that will pay for the cuts ... please just believe the GOP talking points ...

-
Every time republicans cut taxes to create jobs and raise wages .we usually end up in a ression.
-
And why is it the Republicans only scream about deficit spending when there's a democrat in office?
-
It's the two Santa Claus theory: Rs get to be the Santa Claus by running up deficit & stealing from middle class. Then when Ds are in the majority Rs scream about the deficit they created & want to cut spending especially for social programs.

@OrrinHatch And I, sir, am disgusted with this GOP bill HATCHED in darkness, no bipartisan involvement & to to corrupt advantage of rich republicans. It is an American travesty. Scam is Not even the correct word. And my senator,@SenBobCorker, now a beneficiary, changes vote??? -
Plus heaven forbid waiting for new Senator Jones to be seated and vote, courtesy that was extended in the past on behalf of Repugnicans
-
Democrat Congress must be so over conciliatory actions to ‘please’ Republicans. Done!

The GOP just cannot get enough of taxpayer tax dollars into their personal pockets. Here's the oil/gas
#kickback that benefits@JohnCornyn@tedcruz and other members of Congress https://twitter.com/davidsirota/status/941397765225037824 …This Tweet is unavailable. -
How did all these guys become millionaires? ..
-
I can think of a few Senators who went into office not as millionaires, and none that left office not in the millionaire club. Funny how that happens on a Senators salary.
-
Heard Corker made $7m last year. NOT a senators salary.
-
It is when lobbyist give you inside information
-
It when lobbyists write the tax bill. If you make over $1 million a year, the ROI for donations to the
@GOP must be astronomical. That small group gets $36.5 billion in 2019 alone per JCT from the tax bill. Sum of all donations can’t average more than a couple billion annually.

@senorrinhatch should use the tax scam saving to fix our falling infrastructure instead:pic.twitter.com/WBvm77cGf6
