A bill this significant should be thoroughly debated before it is voted on. Congress should ask voters for public comment.

Well, if polling bears any relation to reality, we know what the public thinks.
-
Polling is not debate. People need to hear the arguments, ask questions and consider the facts alongside their neighbors in an open forum.
-
Agreed. Sadly, the House GOP isn't the least bit interested.
-
And if their constituents are OK with that, then so be it. But if they are not, it is their civic duty to give their reps a moment of pause.
-
You've seen the Town Halls and are aware the new version has not been scored by the CBO? Why not wait, hold Town Halls over 11 day break?
-
Exactly. But once again,
#GOP wants to go home with a win under their belt; not a debate. Gotta protect those phoney baloney jobs of theirs. -
Precisely. And let's be honest, pushing this steaming dung heap out of the House with a majority is hardly a "win".

Every single member of the House voting yes tomorrow needs to be asked: did you read the bill before voting on it? And if so, how?
-
I agree but did you also demand this of the Dems when they passed ACA? No one read it either
-
Obamacare was debated Congress for almost 1 year before passage. This bill? 1 month and change!
#GOPhypocrites -
no it wasn't. It was all done behind closed doors without any debate. Don't be so biased
-
Hey Price, do you have proof/sources that Dems did 1 year of ACA debate behind closed doors? Would love to see.

And don't forget they get to keep Obamacare for themselves. No one else.

@GOP? -
