The filibuster is NOT permanent. It is not in the constitution, it is not the law, it is a Senate rule which can be changed with a simple majority vote.

It certainly is in the spirit of the the Constitution. It is no accident that the Constitution requires super majorities to declare war, approve treaties, and to be amended. Big things are supposed to be difficult.

He’s the only Dem that could win WV. And it’s primarily a result of his taking stances like this that secure it as a Dem seat. Folks need to understand this and adjust their expectations accordingly.
