He should answer questions in any format that is presented. If he was committed to telling the truth, he wouldn’t care who or how the questions are asked. He should not be permitted to dictate the format. He’s not a member of Congress. Throw him in jail if he’s a no show.

Well that's just too bad. He doesn't have the authority to manipulate testimonial procedure to Congress. It'll be harder for him to obfuscate the truth and he knows that. A transparent DOJ and AG wouldn't object to thorough questioning.

Why is Barr opposed to being questioned by legislative counsel? That's precisely who should be questioning him and not grandstanding House members. It's like he's worried about legitimate inquiry into his decision making.

Exactly. I was opposed to Kavanaugh & I’m a democrat, but even I was disgusted w/obvious grandstanding by some democrats during his questioning. This should be done by legislative counsel.

Tell Barr that he doesn't get to decide the format of the hearings. If he doesn't turn up, issue a subpoena. If he doesn't turn up after that,, charge him with contempt and lock him up.

AG is a public servant and should welcome questions regarding his decision making, past statements and conduct. Being too frightened to appear and answer oversight questions indicates he has something to hide. The man is corrupt.
