He's not been subpoenaed, so he can refuse to testify if he wants to. They should subpoena him, and quit with all these games. It's obvious at this point that nobody in the Trump administration will testify in a meaningful way without a subpoena.

Part of me still wants to believe Barr is protecting the bigger counterintelligence investigation and is playing a role. He can’t let that out and give Trump any idea he is in on it. I just don’t know.
Yeah, no. Barr was the GOP cleanup guy for Iran-Contra. I'd agree that he's not there specifically to defend Trump, but only insofar as he's probably there to defend the GOP more generally.
