GOP leadership not too concerned about this. If they have all 51 Rs tomorrow voting to move to final vote, it will happen Sat without Daines. If an R defects tomorrow, then they’ll have to look into delaying Saturday vote. The bigger focus is making sure they don’t lose two Rs

Steve Daines' daughter's wedding is a calculated and orchestrated political hit fueled with apparent pent-up anger about President Trump and the 2016 election to get revenge on behalf of the Clintons. /S

What goes around comes around, Steve Daines’s daughter’s wedding.

Steve Daines' daughter's wedding has sown the wind, and will now reap the whirlwind.

you still have Manchin and Donnelly on the
@TheDemocrats side who are undecided but too cowardly and concerned over their re-election to do the right thing and vote no - End of conversation

Good to see at least one male GOP member has his priorities correct. Best wishes to his daughter.
-
Well, if he truly cared about his daughter he would vote no on Kavanaugh

The venue of the wedding is Bozeman, MT. IMO, equally probably explanations: 1 He won't be present on Saturday b/c Rs have the votes. 2 He won't be present b/c the nomination is going down & will lose by more that 1 vote in any case.

3. He'll move the wedding to the next day.

You can't just "move a wedding until the next day".

Imagine being so desperate to bring this a conclusion that they can’t wait until Monday when Daines would be available: terrified of what the weekend might give time to uncover

OMG! This whole confirmation process EXACTLY parallels Allen Drury's Advise and Consent written in 1959, even down to one of the senator's daughter getting married!
-
I don't agree with Daines politics, never even heard of him until today. He's a yes on Kavanaugh, but has clearly stated he is leaving town because he'll walk his daughter down the aisle on Saturday... and people are ATTACKING him over it. And they say liberals are unhinged?
-
Voting No would be the best wedding present he could ever give his daughter.
-
Agreed Absence is in essence a NO. Those who vote yes will be remembered. They will be trolled after retiring, ran out of restaurants, accosted for the REST OF THEIR LIVES.
-
Are you sure he is not voting?
-
If it's on Sat. NO
