Democrats are much more pointed and direct in their remarks today than a number of them were in their questioning of Kavanaugh yesterday

Because they couldn't get #kavanaugh to answer any questions!!! He would just talk around them waste their 5 minute time limit!!!

They need to just treat every Republican as a hostile witness and hammer them.

Yes, it absolutely is. There is no reason -- NONE -- to treat the Senate and Congressional Republicans and peers. They have fought tooth and nail against EVERY SINGLE THING Democrats have done. There is no reason for Democrats to ever beg and scrape and bow any more. None.

Exactly this. Democrats absolutely did not start this. Democrats absolutely are not the guilty party here. Democrats in the Clinton, Bush, and Obama years tried, for SIXTEEN YEARS, to work across the aisle more often than not. Republicans never did. No more. Fight fire with fire.

Because yesterday they were not interested in actual facts, they just wanted wanted a circus on display for all to see. If they wanted facts, they could have done that work quietly (with the FBI even) in August and early September, but hey....there's no shock value there!!!

I really think how they handled yesterday was brilliant. Each one kept their cool and asked him if he would welcome an FBI investigation.

Yesterday, they focused on asking Kavanaugh to call for an FBI investigation. Hammered him on it. Which led to the @ABAesq letter. Decent strategy.

His tantrum worked. They were afraid to get into a shouting match and looking as unhinged as he did. It's a classic abuser move when calmly confronted by the truth of their actions.
