Should FBI background check be opened before hearing, which Dems are calling for? Murkowski says: “I think her story deserves to be heard ... and the committee process has been made available to her. My hope is that we will have an opportunity to hear from her.”

I hope Dr. Ford testifies, but I also understand if she chooses not to. Without a proper investigation, without calling witnesses, the GOP is actively setting her up to fail by not allowing the hearing to be anything other than her word vs his word. I support her choice.
-
The FBI says there are not enough details that can be confirmed or denied to open and investigation. She doesn't know who's party, what town it was in, she has said 4 men in the room and then 2. Doesn't know how she got there either. In FBI speak - not credible evidence.
-
What is your source on the FBI doesn't have enough details? I just heard a retired FBI agent say they are waiting on a order from the WH

I guess that's how the GOP is going to play this. If Prof. Ford doesn't submit to the torture of Monday's hearing, the GOP will claim she must have been lying all along. If she does show up, they will attack her mercilessly and publicly accuse her of lying.
-
So what is the other option? What is the plan? The Democrats could not try harder to make this appear as as a planned political stunt. They do not give a shit about this woman any more than the Republicans do. Nobody is interested in the truth, which isn't even obtainable.
-
The other option is a proper investigation conducted by an outside agency such as the FBI. By only allowing her word vs his word, the GOP is purposefully making it impossible to get to the truth.
-
The FBI has already refused to, because they already did multiple background checks and they don't investigate possible sexual harrassment of drunk teenagers at a house party 35 years ago. There is no way to prove anything.
-
The Democrats' actions show that they care as little about finding out the truth as the Republicans do.

"Yes, the FBI should investigate the sexual assault allegations against Brett Kavanaugh"... that should have been the response from Murkowski.

Let's check the tape on the process and testimony she demanded from Al Franken's accusers. Oh snap, she didn't want any because he's a Democrat.https://twitter.com/lisamurkowski/status/938505991511003137?s=19 …

Oh that’s right, Al Franken resigned. Kavanaugh could withdraw...

When will someone make Feinstein answer for delaying this investigation?
-
You mean "Senator Feinstein, thank you on behalf of the victim for respecting her privacy until she was prepared to go public."
-
I said what I meant. Screw Feinstein.
-
Oh I'm sure you meant it, but thankfully, you weren't the one who had the info and couldn't violate the confidence of the victim before she was prepared to be public.
-
Wouldn’t want to interrupt the political stunt.
-
-
Yes, that’s all very closely related to this political stunt. Give yourself a round of applause, buddy.
