Internal records show why Pelosi manages to maintain her hold atop her caucus despite resistance from a number of Dems: She’s pulled in $91 million this cycle for the DCCC alone. Here’s my look at the top earners and stragglers in the caucus:https://www.cnn.com/2018/08/15/politics/nancy-pelosi-fundraising-democrats/index.html …

Big earners for DCCC include: Katherine Clark of Mass, Ben Ray Lujan, Schiff, Kennedy. Among those not meeting their goals: Tim Ryan, who lost a race against Pelosi for leader and may run for speaker, former DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Tulsi Gabbard and Maxine Waters

After raising just $500, Tulsi Gabbard takes a shot at DCCC. “Unfortunately, this cycle the DCCC has chosen to spend money on negative campaigning and mudslinging against progressive Democrats in primary elections, which is something Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard cannot support.”

Money in politics is the reason why politicians refuse to do what the American people want they work for campaign donors and not the people this is why you get rid of corporations who buy politicians via super PACs https://youtu.be/43Gc4Pnw9ak  here is a good vid about what goes down.

You can post all the YouTube videos you want but it doesn't change the fact that, currently right now, if you want to be competitive you generally need to spend money, especially because the other side gives no fucks about your playlist. Play the game to change it.

Well, we need money to compete with the deep pockets of the GOP. They have MANY mega-donors like Koch, Mercer, Adelson, Thiel, etc. I'd like money out of politics too. But our country is currently on fire... not a time to tinker around under the hood of our ONLY fire engine 🚒

Most prolific fundraiser in her caucus by a factor of 2.37. Not the main reason #NancyPelosi should keep her job, but a good one. And a devastating rebuttal to all those who think she should step down because she’s hurting #Democrats’ chances. #bluewavehttps://twitter.com/mkraju/status/1029830596925841411 …

And not the main reason #TulsiGabbard is worthless, or even close. But she’s not a team player. She’d rather whine about the #DCCC than help her supposed fellow #Democrats. Not to take anything away from her tenacity and talent for it, but there's a chicken/egg aspect to this. The office of Leader/Speaker draws contributions itself no matter who's in the seat.

Manu - you realize you’re implying this is the ONLY reason pelosi was speaker. There are others: she’s been effective (perfect actually) on floor votes, and is a master at maneuvering and negotiating the rules of the House.
