Rudy to Hannity on Mueller: “He's going to ask [Trump], ‘Did you tell Comey to go easy on Flynn?’ The president will say, ‘No I didn't.’ Hey, Bob, you know it. Why do you want to get him under oath?... Want to trap him into perjury? We are not going to let you do that.”

Comey testified under oath to the Senate Intelligence Committee that Trump asked him for loyalty and to back off the Flynn investigation. He probably told same to Mueller. Trump and his lawyers seem concerned about him answering that question under oath.

Because he did it, and it constitutes a crime. Mens Rea and everything. Frigging McGhan told him directly that the this perverse request in the Oval would likely amount to obstruction if it were ever put to a jury. Lucky for Trump, his jury is full of accomplices.

Rudy seems to be not only admitting that trump lied about it, but that he would also lie to Mueller about it. 45 really should keep him off tv.

You're right! But it seems that at some point someone in that administration needs to say, "maybe this isn't such a great idea." It highlights their ineptitude.

Of course. "How do we tell (another lie without getting into "more" trouble?" Even Trump knows that Mueller is a lot smarter than Trump's own supporters and they can't save him when he talks to Mueller.

If as they claim he has a constitutional authority to fire anyone as he pleases, they wouldn’t be worries about this particular question. Since they *dont* want him to say no, (and won’t let him say yes) they know their own argument is bull shit.

What's "under oath" got to do with it? Lying to Robt. Mueller in an interview is a crime.
