If I remember right, Sen. McCain was offered early release but he refused to leave until all the other POWs. I was a Civil Air Patrol cadet at age 12 when he was released & my childhood Hero! And I miss seeing him on the floor of the Senate.

He did refuse an earlier release because he new the North Vietnamese would use it as propaganda , while other POWs remained behind.
-
He was offered early release because his father was an admiral. He refused such a favor when others would be left behind.
-
He is a true hero. He deserves a Congressional Medal of Honor!

Could you and CNN please spend time covering the protests that have been happening every night outside of the White House.

His behavior certainly invokes visceral responses. I feel for the men/women of the armed services that must march in a parade in November at his request.

Trump has two types of insults. They're either projection, where he accuses his enemies of terrible things that he's actually done. Or they're put downs of people/situations that intimidate him, that make him feel like the tiny scared man that he really is. Sometimes it's a combo

And Donald has the nerve to say Manafort, who spent 12 hours/day out of his cell with access to a phone and a computer and with his attorneys, was being treating cruelly.

I despise this person more every time I hear or see him. Every man I served with 1967-1970 is more man, of more worth, than 100 Donald Trumps. He wouldn't recognize a hero if one saved him from an assassination attempt.

Is it complicated to understand a large part of
@SenJohnMcCain’s heroism revolves around his refusal to leave without his brothers? We all know that Trump would never pass up use of his privilege to benefit himself in service to helping another person...Not even his own son. - 1 more reply
