Jeff Sessions just said on Fox that the poIicy of separating kids at border is a deterrent - even as others in admin have denied that. “Yes, hopefully people will get the message ... and come through the border at the port of entry and not [come] across the border unlawfully.”

Q: But is it a deterrant sir? Sessions: I see that no one as being prosecuted for this as a factor in a 5-fold increase in 4 years in this kind of illegal immigration. So yes. Hopefully people will get the message at the port of entry and not break across the border unlawfully

Sessions says they need to go to Port of Entry.Well, the POA won't let them in unless they have a passport or http://visa.So  those seeking asylum are turned away.If they can't return to their country, they have no choice but to enter somewhere else along the Border.

Border Patrol is actively blocking port of entry & turning away asylum seekers (illegally) so they are forced to cross in between.

Again, he still thinks locking up pot smokers deters drug use. He will always find ways to ruin the lives of minorities, but he’s ok with destroying poor white families, too.

It's ok to traumatize 1000s of little children for life because it's a "deterrent". Who are the animals here?? What an abhorrent POS he and everyone in this administration is.

Some parents DON’T KNOW their kids will be taken, & some kids AREN’T taken. Which story should others believe? The NEW POLICY can’t deter people who haven’t heard it! Some w/family here, risk the trip knowing at least their kids will be granted entry & live w/relatives.

They arbitrarily close ports of entry to create a crime for the refugees who then travel to another. Then they take the children and deport the parents. Then they have captives who can be raised to think survival means working for $1/day in America's slave labor private prisons.

They are not breaking the law. They are simply stepping across the border to declare amnesty. That is not a crime. This is what every country does as a part of Amnesty International and this is what we used to do until now when the President changed the policy in May 2018z
