“We’re in a strange place. It’s becoming a cultish thing, isn’t it? ... It’s not a good place for any party to have a cult-like situation as it relates to a president that happens to be purportedly of the same party,” Corker says

Corker makes clear his ire is directed at GOP leaders more than rank-and-file. Asked him: You feel like it’s a cult-like situation in your party right now? “Leadership in general not wishing to poke the bear, absolutely, I mean because you know its all about the next election”

The Senate Foreign Relations chairman doesn't know if he can trust what the president is saying about NK. On Trump saying he'll suspend 'war games:' "I don’t even know again if that’s real .. there's a lot of ad hoc comments that get made that end up not being reality."

Corker on August recess: "There’s no question that leadership in general is weary of doing anything that might upset the president ... We’re going to be here during recess generally speaking which is fine with me but it's more about trump being upset than it is anything else."

No credit for this until his actions match his words. Corker is the same guy who railed against the GOP tax cuts for the rich right up until he voted for it,
-
Yeah, this is my thinking, too. Corker has talked out of both sides of his mouth on all things trump. He's amped about corruption's damage on business and the state, but has no problem with the trump family government? Weak sauce.
-
Trying to cover his bases. Spineless git can’t pick a team.

@SenBobCorker Your words mean nothing until you work with Democrats to get something done. You and@JeffFlake could make change working with Democrats and Americans know it. Stop talking, start acting. Children are in cages taken from their parents. Stop it. -
Well said and absolutely true

@SenBobCorker should grab@JeffFlake and flip to the Democrats side. The should finally put actions to their words. -
Don’t hold your breath!
-
Oh, I'd never trust them to put country above party.

Didn’t Corker endorse hyper-partisan Marsha Blackburn to take over his senate seat? I’m so confused by all of this.
-
Corker has given his endorsement to Phil Breseden.
-
http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2018/04/bob-corker-offers-tepid-endorsement-of-marsha-blackburn.html … While not a strong endorsement, he donated money to Blackburn and publicly said he’d be voting for her. He also recently made an appearance at one of her campaign rallies.
-
He speaks with a forked tongue, obviously.
-
Yep. He’s shown he’s just as guilty as the rest of the republican senate in choosing party of country.
-
Being a Tennessean, I'm fucking ashamed of him. He goes on and on about bipartisanship and then falls right back into Trump's nasty lap. I had just a bit of hope in him, but no more!

@SenBobCorker You need to do more than stand on the sidelines and play golf with this monster. Our democracy is being absolutely trashed and you're just now realizing Trump's insanity? -
Sen Corker - get the Dems and moderate R's together and do something. Please!
