Corker to me on Senate GOP on tariff plan: "I understand there's a fear-- fearful of the president, let's be honest. .. On policy grounds, they strongly support this. But there are concerns about countering the president by some. ... But there's no doubt of fear there."

US Chamber has been working hard in this very direction for years. They get their wet dream with tRump and now they are crying because he's only hurting them when they expected him to only hurt us?

looking for other business groups to do the same...can't wait to see trump's tweets calling chamber of commerce part of deep state.

Trump touted he was the only person who understood how to run a business and he would use that skill to run the country. Think we’ve learned that he’s neither the businessman nor the leader this country needs. And now we see business leaders don’t want anything to do with him.

Take a look at where large concentrations of steel jobs (read voters) are in the US. you think Congressional leadership wants to let their members poke that bear - as well as spitting in Trump’s eye on one of his top and most fought for issues of the campaign? Not gonna happen.

Sorry- wrong way around. "Corker sides with big business over (45) on tariffs." The only time these guys will ever stand up & do the right thing is when it hurts their big business owners- not the middle class, not the poor, not the abused. Just $$

I'm sorry, but if one is going to use the phrase "modest proposal" in regards to Trump, one may not waste it in such an unaware manner. Shame, US Chamber.

. To the extent that the US Chamber of Commerce is made up of many local Chambers of Commerce representing businesses small and large, it’s unfair to say ‘Big business sides with Corker…’ .
