He used nothing of the original (aside from lyrics), therefore it is fair use. For something to be fair use it has to be transformative from the original work. In the end, Roomie is in the right, and Billie's publisher is actually doing something illegal.

I hope so too. But I think we’ve even bypassed the days where even h3h3 could do it alone again. Sadly. It would take a lot of youtubers with substantial clout to come forward together to put enough heat on them for yt to consider changing their standards.
