One catch seems to be that you need your full account login (OAuth) to access Amazon Cloud Drive, whereas S3 lets you create separate ones.
Is anyone using Amazon Cloud Drive with @arqbackup? Seems cheaper and faster than Glacier, but maybe a catch? https://www.arqbackup.com/features/

@mjtsai@arqbackup the biggest “catch” is the CPU usage during prep and backup. Outside of that its great. -
@Gryzor@arqbackup Presumably the CPU use is about the same for each Arq cloud provider? -
@mjtsai@arqbackup Probably. used it for both Glaciar and S3. I now use a NAS that does the same and use CCC & TM to backup to the NAS. -
@mjtsai@arqbackup it’s “less efficient ” but CCC is faster (local over Ethernet) and so CPU is happier.

@mjtsai@arqbackup I have since Oct. No problems at all. Only catch is the fear that no unlimited cloud storage has stayed unlimited. -

@mjtsai@arqbackup That’s what I’m using. Sometimes see Arq’s processor usage spike / fans spin, but not sure if that’s backend related. -
@mjtsai There was a multi-day outage of the Cloud Drive API a few weeks back. Otherwise, it works great. I’ve got over 2 TB backed up.
