Apple & the second law of thermodynamics — Mail won’t let me delete messages & “Complete this season” no longer works on my AppleTV.

@mjtsai I rebuilt the data, but am still having the problem. At some point, mail deleting stops working, and required a Mail restart.

@dafacto Is the problem deleting (moving message stop trash) or emptying the trash? Is there an error message?

@mjtsai Moving them to the trash. It’s as if the delete key is dead (but control-click “delete” also does nothing.) -

@mjtsai Just confirmed — dragging is broken too (when this state occurs). -
@dafacto I haven’t seen that (dead key/drag) before, only errors when moving. -
@mjtsai I just noticed that when this happens, the activity window shows no progress on the move of one or more messages. - View other replies

@dafacto That I have seen. If one local cache file is missing, sometimes it gets stuck and the other messages are duplicated. -
@mjtsai Any ideas how one might recover? -
