@mjtsai So no, there are not "iMessage backups" you can retrieve later. But you can retrieve Messages transcripts.pic.twitter.com/Uj72HKHJlM

@mjtsai And the Messages transcripts are part of the backup. So if you don't use iCloud backup, they aren't saved to Apple's servers.
