Do developers get to see what one types into the "Report crash..." box in Mac OS X? Not sure who the audience is for these things I type.
@paulhagstrom In theory, Mac App Store developers are supposed to be able to download them, but in 5 years none have been available for me.

Mac App Store always says “Too few reports have been submitted”. So either store bug, I don’t sell enough, or I don’t ship enough crashers.

Which reminds me: what is the current best practice for sandboxed apps to access their own crash log files?

@mjtsai I wonder if it would pass review to prompt the user with an open panel to ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports on the first crash… -

@jmfd Why not? Seems like they already made changes to the reports for better privacy.

@mjtsai :) True. Don't think I've *ever* seen EF or SS crash. Maybe had to force-quit efindextool years ago, but that's about it. -
@paulhagstrom I wish it were that. I do receive occasional crash reports from MAS customers via my own reporter.

@mjtsai :( That's pretty annoying. Would be good & timely data. Good to know, will email future crashes to devs if I have relevant comments.
