      @rosyna Yes, but the alternative to having a mandatory Watch app is having an optional one like Remote, AirPort Utility, etc.

          @mjtsai The main exception is, currently, the Watch is useless without a paired iPhone. Also, it's easy enough for skilled users to hide it.

          @mjtsai Another issue is App Store apps (even Apple's) are limited in the amount of content they can access. Like phone call streams.
