@mjtsai sorry, I forgot to mention in my comment that the extension is a completely separate process from the main app.

@roustem I knew the extension was a separate process, but not that it was single-use and couldn't communicate with the app.

@mjtsai Yes, the extension is short-lived and can only talk to main app via shared keychain group or shared container folder.
