@mjtsai It’s really unacceptable that it works this shoddily, though. Especially with the sanctioned Time Capsule device.
There goes my mom’s Time Capsule streak; got the dialog saying it had corrupted itself and had to start a new backup.

@danielpunkass Yeah, and in this case the iMac whose backup failed hadn’t been used in a couple months, so it can’ t be due to a crash, etc.

@mjtsai Also, I have a pretty reasonable network but it’s faster for me to restore files from Backblaze than through Time Machine. -
@mjtsai This sucks so hard. I only recently learned that various geek-empowered tricks can sometimes repair the backup image.
