@mjtsai I have a couple of System Events-using scripts that seem distinctly slower.
System Events takes a while to start up, so Mavericks auto-killing it when it’s idle isn’t the best thing for AppleScript performance.

@mjtsai is that why “mark as spam” etc is so slow? -
@jemostrom That’s because Mail’s regular AppleScript is slow in 10.9. Using System Events makes it faster.

@mjtsai It’s actually amazing how Apple has effectively sucked a lot of the enjoyment and efficiency out of using Mac OS.
