So apparently the app sandbox prevents an app from compiling an AppleScript that targets an app that’s not in /Applications.

@mjtsai I guess a question is can you coerce OSA into compiling the script without trying to open the dictionary?

@danielpunkass I don’t know. Don’t some apps need to be launched because they provide the dictionary dynamically?

@mjtsai Yeah, that may be true. But isn’t this just for targeting your own app? Maybe@uliwitness is right and you should precompile. -

@mjtsai Probably whatever you’re compiling on-the-fly for could be replaced with parameters to the script?
