I now have more customers on Mavericks than Tiger.
@kevinhoctor Will be interesting to see what happens to the 10.6 numbers when 10.9 ships. So far they are still almost as high as 10.7.

@mjtsai@kevinhoctor Makes me wonder if there's any value in moving to 10.9... - View other replies

@kevinwalzer Do you really have a choice? -
@mjtsai Well, I'm still on Lion. Don't seem to have missed much with ML. But I think I will update to 10.9 anyway... -
@kevinwalzer The current OS version always has the majority of my customers, plus OS bugs to work around and new APIs to take advantage of.

@mjtsai There is a hardware barrier that will lock in a certain percentage of 10.6 customers until they upgrade to a newer Mac. -
@kevinhoctor Yes, but 10.7 only requires a Core 2 Duo and 2 GB of RAM. Seems like that wouldn’t exclude very many. -
@mjtsai It shouldn’t, but we have a healthy percentage of customers who can’t install MoneyWell 2 because of their early Intel Macs. -
@kevinhoctor Because of RAM? My stats indicate that less than 7% of customers on 10.6 can’t run 64-bit. -
@mjtsai No, it would be the 32-bit Intel chip limits. I don’t have the numbers you have, just customer feedback to base this on.
