@danielpunkass @ejacqui Maps was customer facing and got mainstream press. This is dev stuff and tech blogs. Is that enough yet?

@reneritchie @ejacqui I don’t know, but the lack of suitable syncing support across iCloud at least has potential to become consumer outcry.

@danielpunkass I’m not sure any CD sync app is table-stakes the way Maps was. If Mail, Calendar, etc. had the problem…

@reneritchie @danielpunkass Mail, Calendar, etc don't use iCloud so much as "iCloud". IMAP, CalDAV, are used instead. iCloud isn't a thing.

@gte Mail does sync rules smartmailboxes and account information as mobile documents. But no coredata sync (Mail uses sqlite db)

@smorr And I’m not sure the mobile document model really makes sense there. Maybe that explains the unreliability of Mail’s syncing.

@mjtsai not sure it doesn't make sense. They are just plists. (Plus it was easy enough for MailTags to jump in to the game).

@smorr Since it doesn’t know about transactions, problems occur if you made changes on multiple Macs within a short period of time.
