@mjtsai Was it not already saved in ~/Library/Mobile Documents/com.apple.TextEdit/ ? Why was CrashPlan needed for this?
She had said that she was typing the text into Mail and suddenly it disappeared. Turns out, when I paste it into my Mail, it crashes, too!

@rosyna It was in the autosave folder, but TextEdit was not auto-opening it, and screen sharing wasn’t working. So I got it from the backup. -
@mjtsai Don't forget you can use Back to My Mac to SSH as well as use screen sharing. (If only it worked on iOS too...) -

@mjtsai Yes, just create another account on the Mac with your Apple ID and turn on Back to My Mac with it.
