@mjtsai Really? I am seeing VIP message from mbxs other than inbox?
VIP mailbox in iOS 6’s Mail is useless for me since it only pulls from inbox. My VIPs are filed into mailboxes at the server level. Oh well.

@smorr I am on the Mac, but not on iPhone. Various articles confirm that on iOS VIPs is limited to the inbox.

@mjtsai That just means you could define your own server-side VIP mailboxes that Mail app could access. -
@leebennett I don’t want a single server VIP mailbox. I like how, on the Mac, VIPs is an easily changeable view that cuts across mailboxes.

@mjtsai What do you use to do that at the server level? Or by “server” do you mean Gmail? -
@abrahamvegh By server I mean the mail server at DreamHost. They have a nice Web interface on top of what I assume is procmail. -
@mjtsai Ah, k, I run my own Debian box with Postfix/Dovecot. I have yet to find anything that looks like it’ll do filtering how I want. :)

@mjtsai for some reason there are no notifications or badging of any kind if the server filters emails into folders first. Useless.
