@stormchild I think that’s a small factor. For my customers, only 5% of 10.6 users are 32-bit only (Core Solo and Core Duo).

@mjtsai Hmm…in that case it’s probably more than offset by the number of new Macs that shipped with at least 10.7 and can’t go *back*.0 replies 0 retweets 0 likes -
@stormchild Yes, you would think everything would be skewed by the fact that Apple sells more new Macs these days, and they can’t go back.0 replies 0 retweets 0 likes -
@mjtsai I’d almost go back just to get Finder windows to resize properly again. Annoys me >50 times a day, and 10.8 made it even worse.0 replies 0 retweets 0 likes -
@stormchild My 10.8 annoyance is that the Finder no longer remembers my windows between reboots.0 replies 0 retweets 0 likes -
@mjtsai Try disabling the “Restore windows” setting, then close/reopen System Prefs and turn it back on. Did that make it stick?0 replies 0 retweets 0 likes -
@stormchild There is no more “restore windows” setting, only “Close windows when quitting,” which I’ve unchecked.0 replies 0 retweets 0 likes -
@mjtsai Oh yeah. Try *checking* that, close/reopen, then uncheck. It fixed a couple apps for me that weren’t honoring that setting.0 replies 0 retweets 0 likes -
@stormchild OK, I’ll try that. Thanks. Are you also getting duplicate copies of login items in the Dock, even with restoration off?0 replies 0 retweets 0 likes -
@mjtsai Haven’t seen that one. What does it look like? Redundant launch of same thing? Icon appears, disappears, then reappears?0 replies 0 retweets 0 likes
@stormchild Two icons in Dock, seemingly one normally running copy of app, plus one copy that’s hung. Happens most for Growl and Wedge.

@mjtsai That’s pretty weird. I’d try rebuilding the Launch Services DB:https://gist.github.com/40730560 replies 0 retweets 0 likes
